The Sand Pebbles Inn is located on the beach in Qualicum Beach. When it's a high tide, you'll want to take full advantage of the courtyard and paved promenade that fronts the beach. High tide is the perfect time to cool down with a swim. Rent a kayak or stroll down to the Beach Hut for an ice cream cone. When the tide is low that's the time to go and explore the tide pools, do some beach combing, build a sand castle, try your hand at skim boarding or discover stand up paddle boarding.
Only minutes from the inn is a 35-plus acre nature reserve called The Heritage Forest. It showcases an old-growth Coastal Douglas Fir eco-system, complete with forest trails and a salmon-bearing stream. Also moments away are Milner Gardens and woodlands said to be one of the best public gardens in Canada by Canadian Geographic Travel.
